Lourdes Secola, DMD, M.Sc.D, DDS - Completed her first degree in Caracas, Venezuela in 1981, earning the Award "Premio Especial de Graduacion, Facultad de Odontologia" Central University of Venezuela.  She went on to her post-doctoral training at Boston University earning both a CDSA & M.Sc.D., in 1984.  After volunteering as a visiting dentist in the Middle East (Dental Peace Corps) and in Florida (ACORN Clinic), she completed National Boards and two Florida dental boards in order to earn her Florida dental license.

She was affiliated with the University of Florida as an assistant Professor in 1984-1991, where she was a research faculty in the area of dental education, under the tutelage of Dr. Richard S. Mackenzie.

Dr. Secola started a part time dental practice for 1988-1991. She relocated to Omaha, Nebraska. While at Creighton University, she completed two additional years of dental education, in order to earn her Nebraska license. She graduated with honors in 1993, and started here current dental practice in 1995. She was an Adjunct Assistant in the Department of Operative Dentistry, currently called General Dentistry from 1994 to 2003.

She enjoys her practice where she emphasized preventive and parent/caregiver involvement in the treatment of oral disease and maintenance of oral dental health.

She has 2 children, Annelise, and Daniel and two stepchildren, Jodi and Justin.

Dr. Secola is a current member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Nebraska Dental Association, Omaha District Dental Society and S. Western Society of Dentistry for Children. She is also a past member of Southern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.  Additionally, she has completed an intensive training in microbusiness management and serves as mentor of young Hispanic students and various civic groups, including Girl Scouts, The Latina Resource Center, The Caremobile Advisory Committee, and to Omaha chapter of Alzheimer Association.
